County Wicklow Film Commission
The
County Wicklow Film Commission was set up in 1992 and is the longest running
film commission in Ireland. County Wicklow has long been a favourite with
filmmakers. In 1992 Wicklow County Council and Bray Town Council established the
Wicklow Film Commission with the aim to extend a friendly hand to all filmmakers
wishing to film here. Since 1999 the Film Commission Office has been manned
fulltime, providing assistance to big feature films such as 'Reign of Fire' and
'King Arthur', smaller productions like 'Lassie' and many commercials and
television series.
