HEG Scheme

The Higher Education Grants Scheme for the 2011/2012 Academic Year was released by the Department of Education & Skills on 28th June 2011. Please click on the attached link to view the full scheme including the reckonable income limits and the rates of the maintenance grant for 2011.

New Applicants

Wicklow County Council will only accept new applications online for the 2011/2012 Academic Year. Hardcopy application forms will not be accepted and will be returned unprocessed to the applicant.

Applications are available from www.studentfinance.ie or from www.grantsonline.ie  Once the application has been completed online you will be supplied with a unique reference number. Please forward all supporting documentation quoting this reference number to the HEG Section, Wicklow County Council, County Buildings, Station Road, Wicklow

Incomplete applications cannot be processed, please forward all relevant supporting documentation within 10 days of completing online application.

To facilitate applicants who may suffer from a visual or hearing impairment, the scheme can be made available in different formats on request from the Department of Education and Skills – Equity of Access Section

Renewal Applicants

Renewal forms have been sent to all existing applicants. Please complete form and forward complete with exam results to the HEG Section, Wicklow County Council, County Buildings, Station Road, Wicklow. If you have not already received a Renewal form please email your request to heg@wicklowcoco.ie

An original set of exam results for 2010/2011 Academic Year must accompany the application.

Due to the high volume of applications staff are only available to take calls on Mondays and Thursdays from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. Your co-operation is appreciated.
