Form RF100 - First Time Motor Tax Application

In the case of a new vehicle this document is received by the customer from the garage of purchase of for imported vehicles from the Revenue Commissioners.

Form RF100A - Motor Tax Renewal

This form can be used to renew the motor tax on your vehicle if, for any reason, the form issued to you in the post is unavailable. The form must be used if you wish to pay arrears in a motor tax office or declare a period of non-use of a vehicle. Detailed instructions on completing and submitting the form are contained in the accompanying notes.

Form RF100B – Computerised Reminder

This is the computerised motor tax reminder renewal form received from the Vehicle Registration Unit, Shannon, Co. Clare approximately 2 weeks before the tax on the vehicle expires.

Form RF111 - Change Of Particulars

This form is to be used if a change is required to the recorded details of your vehicle, such as:

  • Motor tax class
  • Colour
  • Engine details

Form RF111A - Goods Only Declaration

Goods Only Declaration - You must complete this Declaration at a Garda Station if you are taxing the vehicle at the goods rate and the unladen weight of the vehicle does not exceed 1,524 kg.

Form RF134 - Application for Replacement Documents

This form is to be used when making an application for a replacement document where the original was lost, stolen or destroyed. The form must be completed and witnessed by a member of the Garda Síochána at your local Garda Station. The completed form must be submitted to your local Motor Tax Office.

Form RF200 - Notification Of Transfer Of Ownership

This form is to be used if you require to notify change of ownership of a vehicle registered before 1 January 1993. The completed form and logbook must be submitted to your local motor tax office. Changes of ownership of vehicles registered since 1 January 1993 should be notified by completing Part B of your Vehicle Licensing Certificate and returning it to the Vehicle Registration Unit, Town Centre, Shannon, County Clare.

Form RF111A - Goods Only Declaration

This form is required where a vehicle is taxed as a goods vehicle and has an unladen vehicle weight of 3,500 kg or less. Please note that this declaration is only required where the vehicle is taxed for the first time or where a vehicle has been sold and the new owner is taxing the vehicle for the first time.
