Expressions of Interest sought for short-term social leasing arrangements
Wicklow County Council invites expressions of interest from
property owners for the provision of dwellings under a new
short term leasing initiative.
- Local authorities will lease private dwellings;
- The local authority will tenant properties and
screen all tenants
- Leases will be for a period of up to 4 years and rent will be
guaranteed for the whole lease period
In assessing the suitability of a property for leasing, the Council
will consider the demand for social housing in all areas of County
Wicklow. The main demand areas for rental properties are
Greystones, Rathnew, Blessington, Bray and Kilcoole but all
areas will be considered.
Properties must be of good quality and comply with all planning
and building regulations.
