Enquire about a planning application
All current planning applications are marked on the GIS system (gplan). This enables the public to search for applications by site without the
name or address of the applicant. It
can also be used to check whether or not there have been any previous
applications on the site.
This system includes information relating to applications from September 2007
onwards.
The eplan system allows the public to enquire about an application where the
name of the applicant and/or the address of the proposed development.
Availability of planning files
Planning application files from 2005 to date are available for inspection, free
of charge, during the opening hours of the public counter of the planning
section, i.e. 9.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays)
As planning files pre-dating 2005 are not stored in the planning office,
requests for these files should be made at least three days prior to inspection.
A retrieval fee of €35.00 per file retrieved will apply. Requests for files prior to 2005 may be made by telephone(0404 20148)
