Development Contribution Scheme
Section 48 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 required that all
Councils adopted a Development Contribution Scheme.
Wicklow County Council adopted the current scheme at the Council meeting of 3rd
November 2008.

Section 49 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 allows for the adoption of a
Supplementary Development Contribution Scheme.
A supplementary development contribution requires the payment of a
contribution in respect of a specific infrastructural scheme.
Wicklow County Council adopted a supplementary scheme for the
construction of the Wicklow Port Access and Town Relief Road Scheme.
