Architectural Conservation Area

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 13(8)(a) of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 as amended that Wicklow Town Council, being the Planning Authority of the town of Wicklow, at the monthly Town Council meeting held on the 5th January 2011 has made Variation No 1 of the Wicklow Town Development Plan 2007 – 2013.

The Variation of the Town Development Plan has designated an Architectural Conservation Area, which extends along Main Street from Fitzwilliam Square to Market Square. The Town Centre ACA has been designated based upon its architectural, historical and cultural importance.

A copy of the Variation may be inspected at: Wicklow Town Council, Town Hall, Wicklow Town. (between 9.30am - 1.00pm and 2.00pm - 16.30pm) Monday to Friday (Excluding Bank Holidays).
