The Greystones Harbour Project will be one of the most
challenging civil engineering and architectural projects to be undertaken in
Ireland over the coming years.
It involves the provisions of a new Harbour and Marina, together with enhanced
public and community amenities, backed by residential and retail development.
Greystones Harbour Project is a major Public Private Partnership involving
Wicklow County Council and Sispar and is expected to cost in excess of € 300
millions.

Wicklow Family History Centre
Wicklow Family History Centre
The Wicklow Family History Centre is a
genealogy research service established in 1987 by Wicklow County Council & FÁS.
Since its foundation, our staff has computerised County Wicklow's Roman Catholic
and Church of Ireland parish registers. Church records of Methodist, and
Presbyterian circuits within the county have also been computerised. Our church
records for the County of Wicklow date from the seventeenth century and stop at
1900.

The County Wicklow Film Commission was set up in 1992 and is the longest
running film commission in Ireland. County Wicklow has long been a favourite
with filmmakers. In 1992 Wicklow County Council and Bray Town Council
established the Wicklow Film Commission with the aim to extend a friendly hand
to all filmmakers wishing to film here. Since 1999 the Film Commission Office
has been manned fulltime, providing assistance to big feature films such as
'Reign of Fire' and 'King Arthur', smaller productions like 'Lassie' and many
commercials and television series.

The Office of the Revenue Commissioners was established by Government Order in 1923. The Order provided for a Board of Commissioners. The Board comprises a Chairman and two Commissioners all of whom carry the rank of Secretary General. The Chairman of the Board is also the Accounting Officer for Revenue. The Mission Statement of Revenue is:
'To serve the community by fairly and efficiently collecting taxes and duties
and implementing Customs controls."
