Wicklow County Council Estate Development Funding Scheme 2018

Applications are invited from Residents Associations of Wicklow County Council Social Housing Estates for funding in relation to the upkeep of green areas within their estates.

Private Housing Estates in which there are a number of Local Authority properties may also apply.

Parking Bye-Laws 2017

Following a period of public consultation, in which over 250 submissions were considered, Wicklow County Council have now updated Bye-Laws in relation to Parking countywide. The towns covered by these byelaws include Bray, Greystones, Wicklow & Arklow.

Wicklow Co Co Parking Bye-Laws 2017 were adopted by Wicklow County Council members at a meeting held on 12th June 2017 and come into effect on Monday 28th August 2017.

Arklow's Duck Pond Wins National Award

Arklow’s Duck Pond, Nature Walk and Leisure Area won a top award in the 2015 Excellence in Local Government Awards beating off competition from around the country.

The 2015 Excellence in Local Government Awards, in conjunction with the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government, are held to recognise and celebrate the outstanding work being carried out by Local Authorities all over Ireland.

Ethics 2012 Arklow TC

In January 2003 an ethics framework came into operation governing the ethics and codes of conduct of local authority members. As a general rule, this framework provides that it is the duty of every local authority member and employee to maintain proper standards of integrity, conduct and concern for the public interest. In addition, it established for each member a system of annual declaration of interests, disclosure of interest in a matter which comes before the authority and a public register of interests.
