Visual artist Kasia Kaminska and inclusive dance artist Jess Rowell will take participants on an inspirational walk through Tomnafinnoge Wood. Afterwards, at the Courthouse Arts Centre in Tinahely, Kasia will facilitate us in the making of cyanotype prints and Jess will guide us in a mindful movement exploration. Plus a complimentary lunch courtesy of the Courthouse.

Kasia Kaminska | Bio

Kasia Kaminska is an artist living in Co. Kilkenny. Her practice encompasses photography, print, publications and public engagement. She works with plant based analogue photography processes and sustainable darkroom methods as well as foraging, gardening and growing. Her practice is led by issues of eco-social concern and she often works in collaboration with others and in socially engaged contexts.

Her photographic projects and publications have been included in exhibitions and book fairs throughout Ireland and she has been awarded artist residencies at Roscommon Arts Center, Butler Gallery, Cow House Studios and Grizedale Arts. She holds a BA in Photography from TUDublin and an MA in Social Practice from the Limerick School of Art & Design, TUS with First Class Hons.

Recent projects include Wilderland, an ongoing Creative Ireland Climate Action project with Elaine Harrington and Materials Matter in Wild Nephin National Park, Co. Mayo, Le ave The Long Grass Grow / Lig don Chuise Fada Fás with Maura Brennan / The Acorn Project (2023 - 2024), and Community Vaults with Maeve Stone / Axis Ballymun (2021 - 2022).

Jess Rowell - Biography

Jess is an inclusive dance artist and movement facilitator based in Bray, Co. Wicklow. She creates multi-sensory dance theatre performances with a focus on accessibility, inclusion, and equal access to the arts. Her performances, workshops, and inclusive dance films invite people of all ages and abilities to explore movement, sound, and sensation as tools for connection. Her work is regularly funded by the Arts Council of Ireland, has toured nationally and internationally, been presented at festivals across Ireland, and featured live on RTÉ News. Jess was Dance Artist in Residence at Draíocht, Blanchardstown (2020– 2022), and a participant in the Branar Meitheal CPS Pilot (2022– 23). Her sensory dance show Making Waves toured nationally for nine weeks in 2024, and Other Worlds her new immersive dance & live music performance premiered in early 2025. She studied at London Contemporary Dance School, UK and Northbrook Metropolitan College, Freestyle Yoga Project, UK and Tattvaa Yoga Shala, India. With over 15 years’ experience in both professional and community settings Jess strives to create spaces where everyone is free to explore, express, and connect.
