Join children’s author Carmel Uí Cheallaigh and Catherine Wright, Archivist at Wicklow County Archives & Genealogy Service, for a book reading and archive tour.

In this very special one hour event, Carmel will kick off with a book reading of ‘Kevin Barry: an Irish Hero for Children’ which tells the story of the first and youngest person hanged during the Irish War of Independence.

This will be followed by a tour of the archive where Catherine will introduce original sources and local history, showcasing a range of archive materials including photographs, local newspapers as well as some the oldest items in storage dating from the 1660s.

Places are limited so booking is essential.

Suitable for ages 9 - 12 years
