Managing Your Mood

Our lives have changed over the past couple of months. We have had to adapt to new and unfamiliar ways of doing things. It is important more than ever now to build our resilience, work hard at staying positive and managing our mood. We will get through this together by helping each other where and when we can.

Below are some resources to help you to do that.

Minding Your Wellbeing

A new video-based mental wellbeing programme called Minding Your Wellbeing is now freely accessible. Brought to you by HSE Health and Wellbeing, this evidence-based programme provides a unique opportunity for people to learn more about mindfulness, gratitude, self-care and resilience. This programme focuses on the promotion of mental wellbeing, and has been adapted from a face-to-face programme into a series of short online videos for the public at this time. It’s free to access anytime so why not try one of the videos and go from there.

Supercharge Your Self Care - a series of 6 workshops

Earlier this year Co. Wicklow PPN teamed up with Avril Bailey oft he Dublin Human Givins Centre to develop Supercharge Your Self Care, a series of 6 workshops to support the wellbeing of our members during the current pandemic.

The sessions were well received and the feedback from participants was so good that we have since worked with Avril and Nadia Ramoutar to futher develop the workshops into a set of 6 podcasts.

1.  The first podcast (13 mins) explains why Co. Wicklow PPN undertook this work, how it        links in with our Wellbeing Visions, and the work of the Wicklow County Council                    Community Response Forum as well as the government's Keep Well programme.

2.  The second podcast (7 mins) introduces Avril and introduces the podcast content

3.  The third and fourth podcasts ( 6-7 mins each) raises awareness of what we need for          optimum wellbeing

4.  The last two podcasts (8-9 mins each) tells us about the simple things we can do to              mind our mental health and wellbeing.

The podcasts are small enough that you can watch them either individually (on a tea break perhaps) or all together.

we hope that you will find them as beneficial as the participants did and you might even watch them more than once.  with the year that's in it, and Christmas coming, we think you will.  Do let us know what you think of them.

The podcasts are available on our You Tube Channel HERE or on the Covid Support Page on our website HERE (under the local tab).
