Wicklow County Council wishes to advise the public that road works are due to commence on the R-752 between Glasnarget Bridge, Rathdrum and Deputy’s Pass, Glenealy from Monday 2^nd March from 8:00 to 17:00 with an expected duration of 2 weeks.

Traffic management will be in place during this time.

N81 Hollywood Cross Rural Traffic Calming Road Safety Improvement Scheme – Commencement of Roadworks

Glas Civil Engineering limited have been appointed by Wicklow County Council as works Contractor for the Construction Implementation and handover phases of the  ‘N81 Hollywood Cross Rural Traffic Calming Road Safety Improvement Scheme’. The planned construction start date is Monday 21^st of July and It is expected that these essential road safety works will be complete in Q1 of 2026.

Works include:

✓ Site clearance and enabling works

✓ Full depth road and footpath construction

✓ Road regulating and resurfacing works

✓ Installation of Bus Stops and associated infrastructure

✓ Construction of new drainage network,

✓ New kerb lines, tie ins and footpaths,

✓ Installation of 3 pedestrian crossings,

✓ Landscaping works,

✓ Installation of new line marking and road markings along the route

✓ Utility diversions

✓ Public Lighting

✓ All other ancillary work

During completion of the works, it will be necessary to make amendments to the existing road layout by the installation of temporary traffic management measures. Glas Civil Engineering limited will endeavour to minimise the disruption caused by these works, and we apologise in advance for any inconvenience that may be caused.
