Arts Office Information

The Arts Office supports County Wicklow-based artists and stimulates arts development in the county.

Welcome Wicklow County Arts Office

Wicklow County Arts Office was established as a core service of Wicklow Local Authorities in 1997, to stimulate arts practice in the county and to support artist development.

Much has been achieved in the county since the establishment of the Arts Office. A dynamic and varied programme of work has demonstrated the benefits and merits of arts practice and participation at local level and strengthened the place of the arts locally in the development of healthy and creative communities.

The Arts Office has a core programme of residencies, educational projects, artist supports and youth arts events that are funded by both Wicklow County Council and the Arts Council of Ireland. The Arts Office also develops the arts policy and strategy for the county in consultation with local stakeholders and bodies such as the Arts Council of Ireland and national arts resource organisations.

Alongside funding opportunities, the Arts Office offers advice and support to artists seeking to develop their arts practice and communities who wish to engage in arts projects.

Please email wao@wicklowcoco.ie or call (0404) 20155 with any queries.
