Under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement , Greystones Harbour has been developed into an ultra-modern marina. As a result of the Greystones Harbour Development Project, the marina has become the deepest marina on the east coast of Ireland and is considered easy and safe for vessels to navigate.
The marina currently has berthing accommodation for up to 250 boats, and there is a wide range of lively and energetic leisure activities taking place, including sailing, rowing, diving, sea angling and Sea Scouts. Some commercial fishing activity also takes place in the harbour.
Clubs such as Greystones Rowing Club, Greystones Sailing Club, Gresytones Ridge Sea Angling Club, Wicklow Aquanauts and Greystones Harbour Sea Scouts are based around the marina area. Newly constructed state-of-the-art clubhouses have also been provided as part of the re-development of the harbour.
The Greystones Harbour Development Project also provided a new public square, which was opened to the public in 2016. The square includes seating, lighting and tree planting, while providing easier access to the Bray-Greystones Cliff Walk.
Within a short walking distance is Greystones town centre, with many restaurants and shops to visit.
