Calling the Fire Brigade

How fire brigades in Co. Wicklow are mobilised when you call for assistance through 999 or 112.

Fire brigades in Co. Wicklow are mobilised by the Eastern Regional Control Centre (ERCC) based in Dublin. All emergency calls for the fire service in Co. Wicklow are received by ERCC. The control room is manned by a shift arrangement over 24 hours by trained control room staff who operate a radio link system with our appliances. All phone and radio messages received in the control room are logged and filed. A person requiring the services of the fire brigade, who rings 999 or 112, is transfered by an operator to the ERCC, who records the details and mobilises the respective brigade.
