FSAI

Food safety regulations require operators of slaughterhouses, meat plants, cold stores and food vehicles to register with the Council.

Wicklow County Council has entered into a service contract with the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) and is responsible for the enforcement of food legislation as it applies to slaughterhouses, meat plants, cold stores and food vehicles (wholesaling meat) under its supervision.
