Wicklow Town Best Dressed Window Competition 2025

The Shoe Box has been crowned the winner of the Best Dressed Window Competition for Wicklow Town, with Kelly’s Fruit & Veg taking the runner-up position.

This annual competition is organised by Wicklow Municipal District and the Wicklow Town and District Chamber of Commerce. The winners are determined by public online voting.

Graham Richmond, Cathaoirleach of Wicklow Municipal District, and Georgina Franey, Wicklow District Administrator, visited both establishments to present them with a Christmas hamper.

Cllr. Graham Richmond, Cathaoirleach of Wicklow Municipal District, expressed, “Congratulations to both the Shoe Box and Kelly’s Fruit & Veg for their fabulous festive windows.  It is important for the Council to support this competition and encourage people to stay local and shop local.  It was great to see such an effort put into the window display by so many businesses, and particularly the diversity of both traditional and modern displays”.

Georgina Franey, District Administrator for Wicklow Municipal District, commented, “Wicklow Municipal District and the Chamber of Commerce work closely together to promote Wicklow Town during the exciting Christmas season, and it is fantastic to see the retailers and businesses create festive shopfront displays to encourage people to shop local”.
