Founded in 2018, Making Waves Youth Theatre is an inclusive community drama group for teenagers between 14-18 years old.

Making Waves hold weekly workshops and have staged a number of productions at the Whale Theatre, Greystones, including an adaptation of The Tempest, Juliet of Verona and Lost In Transit.

They’re currently in rehearsal for a May 2022 production First Takes and will be hosting two Open Taster Drama Workshops for  teenagers interested in meeting some of the youth theatre members and to get an introductory session into the different elements of actor training and theatre making.

These Taster Workshops will incorporate drama games, movement and vocal exercises and an introduction to improvisation under the guidance of one of experienced Youth Theatre facilitators.

You will get to experience both large ensemble group games, fun improv and to explore working with a smaller creative team. No experience necessary to join! Making Waves places an emphasis on inclusion, being yourself, creative expression and, most importantly of all, having lots of fun! A proud part of Youth Theatre Ireland's Cruinniú na nÓg programme!

Suitable for ages 14 - 18 years

Workshop 1: 10am - 11.45am

Workshop 2: 1.30om - 3.15pm
