Hedge cutting Season 1st September 2022 - 28th February 2023

NOTICE TO LANDOWNERS AND OCCUPIERS OF LAND REGARDING OBLIGATION TO CUT/TRIM ROADSIDE HEDGES/TREES  

Hedgecutting -  Landowners including householders and occupiers of lands are advised that all hedge rows along public roads / footpaths  that require cutting or trimming back should be cut during the period 1st September, 2022 and 28th February 2023 and all cuttings removed from the roads and verges.  Adequate signage and traffic management should be in place during the trimming.

Roadside trees should be inspected, and necessary action taken to prevent any potential hazard to the public.  Such inspections should be carried out by suitably qualified personnel.

Japanese Knotweed  SHOULD NOT BE CUT.  No ground disturbance should take place at these sites at any time of year. Please report any instances of Japanese Knotweed to roadtrans@wicklowcoco.ie.

Liability for damage or injury resulting from such hazards will rest with the landowner/occupier.
