In 2020-2022 Wicklow Arts Office generously supported the development of BabyLovesMusic – an immersive concert experience for under-1s and guardians. See www.babylovesmusic.ie

This toured nationally in 2023 – including performances at The Gate Theatre. A larger tour is organised for 2024 an there are plans for performances internationally. BabyLovesMusic has been very warmly received – audience responses include:

'It was absolute perfection from the moment I was greeted in the theatre lobby.'

'... one of the best shows I have experienced in a long long time. I can't stop talking about how good it was.'

Eamon Sweeney, Anna Newell, and Malachy Robinson are BabyLovesMusic's core creative team: All three are well-respected in the fields of music, theatre and early years arts.

Wicklow Arts Office is supporting the purchase of time and resources required for the creative team to develop a new BabyLovesMusic musical offering – working title 'Night-Light'.

The team will spend a week in Spring 2024 creating and trying out new material on test audiences of babies & guardians. Themes to be explored are focused around lullabies, sleep, and dreams

Funded by Wicklow County Arts Office Strategic Project Awards 2024 supported by the Arts Council.
