Heavy Weather Warning

 

Wicklow Head to Carnsore Point Warnings

 

Status: Red Warning  

 

Cyclonic variable winds, veering northwesterly will reach storm force 10 or violent storm force 11 at times overnight and on Friday morning on coasts from Howth Head to Roches Pt to Erris Head and on the south Irish Sea

 

Status Red - Storm warning from Howth Head to Roche's Point to Erris Head and on the Irish Sea South of Anglesey

All vessel owners are advised to have sufficient crew on stand-by, with ready access to their vessels, to regularly check their moorings and fendering, and to ensure that effective bilge pumping arrangements are in place.

 

Members of the public are advised to keep away from piers, breakwaters and exposed coastal areas.
