Wicklow County Council has commissioned KPMG Future Analytics to undertake research to inform the development of a new Skills Strategy for County Wicklow. We are now inviting you to have your say on drafting Wicklow County Council's first Skills Strategy, which will run from 2023 to 2030.
In order to build up a detailed picture of the employment landscape in County Wicklow, we want to hear from you.
We have launched two surveys to gather insights from both Employers and Wicklow Residents on your experience and suggestions for creating employment opportunities inside the county. We are also inviting submissions via email.
This consultation will be open for survey responses and for submissions until 31st July.

This project will work towards ensuring that there will be an adequate supply of sufficiently skilled labour available in Wicklow over the coming years to maximise potential growth. It will seek to identify existing skills gaps that are not being met at present, and also provide an analysis of available skills that are currently commuting out of County Wicklow.
Feedback from this consultation will help the Council shape and develop the strategy and identify actions that need to be taken to ensure that County Wicklow is well prepared to build skills education and training needs.
Focus Groups
Please note that KPMG Future Analytics will also be holding several online sectoral focus groups in the first three weeks in July 2023. If you would like to take part in one of these focus groups, please register your interest by emailing SkillsStrategy@wicklowcoco.ie by our extended date of Friday, 7th July.
