Renew Your Membership

Find out more about renewing your library card when it has expired.

How long does a library membership last?

Your library membership lasts for one year. When your membership expires, you can call into your local branch where the staff will be happy to help you, or you can renew online here.

Please note, you will need to have your library card number and PIN to renew online. Contact your local branch if you need a new card or to reset your PIN. If you have previously provided us with your email address, you can also reset your PIN here.

How do I renew online?

  • Log in to your online library account.
  • Click on the tab on the Personal Details option on the left of the screen.
  • Check the details we have for you to make sure they're correct.
  • If your address has changed since your last renewal, please call into your local branch with proof of your new address and the staff will update this for you.
  • You can change your contact details and your PIN if needed.
  • When you are finished, enter your Current PIN at the end of the page and click update.
  • Your card will be active for another year.

Please note that some membership types cannot be renewed online:

  • My Open Library (MOL) membership must be renewed in-branch.
  • If you joined online and received a TEMP card number, you need to visit your local branch to receive your library card and activate your membership.
