Proposed Material Alterations

Following the County Council meeting on the 13 April 2026, Proposed Material Alterations (PMAs) to the Draft Arklow Local Planning Framework (LPF) / Proposed Variation to the County Development Plan have been published.

The PMAs (and associated documents) are available to view and download on this webpage and through an online consultation portal (link below). They are also available to view at the following locations, during their normal opening hours, from Friday 01 May 2026 to Friday 29 May 2026 (5.00pm) inclusive:

- Wicklow County Council, County Buildings, Station Road, Wicklow Town,

-Arklow Municipal District Office, Castle Park, Arklow, 

- Arklow Library

Submissions or observations regarding ONLY the Proposed Material Alterations (and associated SEA, AA and SFRA documents) are hereby invited from the public and interested bodies between the dates Friday 01 May 2026 and Friday 29 May 2026. All valid written submissions or observations made before 5pm (17:00) on Friday 29 May 2026 will be taken into consideration before the making of the Variation / Local Planning Framework.

Submissions may be made in one of the following ways: 

1. Write to ‘Proposed Variation / Draft ARK LPF, Administrative Officer, Planning Section, Wicklow County Council, Station Road, Wicklow Town. 

2. Through the online consultation portal below.
