Wicklow County Council provides public access computers with access to the Internet, as a service to library members subject to the following terms and conditions:
- There is no charge for this service but all printing is subject to a charge at different rates for A4, A3, black & white or colour printing. Please check with staff for current rates.
- Access to this service is via Library Card Number and PIN.
- You must have a library card or visitors card to use the PCs. For a visitor card please bring photo ID or 2 other forms of other ID. Visitor cards cannot be used to borrow items.
- Anyone visiting on holiday can have a pass for the PCs if they have photo ID.
- Sessions are 50 minutes in duration and may be booked in advance by phone or at the library desk. Only one session can be booked in advance. If you are late, the session may be offered to another person.
- Sessions may be restricted to one session per person per day.
- Children under the age of 12 are welcome to use the Internet facilities if a parent/guardian supervises their session. Parents are responsible for their child’s use of the Internet, and for guiding them as to which resources are appropriate.
- Young Adults between the ages of 12-17 can use the internet facilities unsupervised subject to parental consent.
- Not all information found on the Internet is accurate, complete, up to date or otherwise acceptable to all individuals. Wicklow County Council is not responsible for the accuracy, quality or content of the information retrieved from the Internet. Any infringements of copyright are the responsibility of the user.
- Users will not access or attempt to access, download, listen or share, any material that is likely to be considered unlawful, offensive or pornographic in nature. Misuse will lead to restrictions on your membership of the Library Service.
- Users are requested not to delete any system files, change the system configuration, or in any way damage any computer software or hardware.
