Dunlavin Library, located in the local Market House, will close on Saturday, 18th April for a period of approximately five months.
The closure is necessary to allow for additional works identified during recent roofing repairs. These works will bring significant improvements to the much-loved local building, particularly in terms of accessibility.
As part of the refurbishment , the interior steps within the building will be removed and replaced with a level floor throughout, making the space easier to access for all members of the community. Plans are also in place to clean the exterior of the building and to install underfloor heating, which will greatly improve comfort for library users.
While the closure will be an inconvenience to many regular visitors, the upgrades will ensure that the library remains a welcoming and accessible space at the heart of the community for years to come.
Remember, your library membership is valid in all Wicklow library branches.
