Please note that all Wicklow Libraries will be closed on Bank Holiday weekends for Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Those with My Open Library cards can access Arklow library from 8am to 10pm on these days.
My Open Library
Arklow Library is now a "My Open Library" [MOL] location. MOL is an unstaffed, self-service library, which will be available at Arklow library every day of the year between 8am and 10pm. Current normal staffed opening hours remain unchanged.
MOL membership is available to patrons aged 16 and over. In order to be granted MOL access, patrons must attend a brief health and safety walkthough with a member of staff. These sessions are held Mondays to Saturdays at 4pm and Tuesdays/Thursdays at 7pm.
There is no need to book these sessions, but please bring along your library card and some photo ID. Patrons aged 16/17 must bring a parent/guardian and original, valid age ID (passport, age card etc).

A social story is a story created to describe a new experience. These stories were created to help everyone, including those who are neurodivergent to become more familiar with the library ahead of their visit.
