About Our Social Media Channels

Our social media channels are an important way for us to keep you informed about what is happening across the county and to make information about Council services and activities easy to access.

Behind every post from us on social media is a real person. Our channels are managed by Council staff who aim to communicate in a helpful, professional and respectful manner.

Please Be Patient

Our social media channels are not monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including evenings, weekends and public holidays. We receive a high volume of comments, messages and enquiries.

Social media should not be used for urgent matters or where a query requires direct action by a Council service. For specific, individual or complex queries, please contact the relevant Council department directly by phone, email or through the appropriate online service. This ensures your query reaches the team best placed to assist you.

Please do not share personal, confidential or sensitive information on our social media channels.

  • Users who repeatedly breach these rules may have their access restricted or may be blocked and, where appropriate, content may be reported to the relevant social media platform.
