SPECIAL SPEED LIMIT AT ROAD WORKS

M11/N11 Northbound at Junction 5 (Bray) to J7 (Kilcroney)

Road Works Speed Limit Order RWSLO No. 1 of 2026

Road resurfacing works are due to take place on the M11/N11 northbound carriageways between Junction 5 (Bray North) and Junction 7 (Bray South) in the months of June and July of 2026. 

Notice is hereby given that in exercise of the powers vested under Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act, 2004, and in the interest of safety, it is necessary to make a Road Works Speed Limit Order, in respect of the works area.

In accordance with the Road Works Speed Limit Order No. 1 of 2026, 60Km/hr and 80km/h shall be the Road Works Speed Limit for mechanically propelled vehicles on the roads as specified in the First and Second Schedules below. The Road Works Speed Limit will be in force from the 22nd June 2026 to the 18th July 2026, or such earlier date as may be determined by Wicklow County Council.

First Schedule

60 kilometres per hour shall be the Road Works Speed Limit for mechanically propelled vehicles on the roads as specified hereto.

a)      The M11/N11 northbound carriageway from a point 520 metres South of the centre point of the M11 Kilcroney Lane Over Bridge at Junction 7 to the Wicklow County Council County Boundary north of the M11 Upper Dargle Overbridge at Junction 6.

Second Schedule

80 kilometres per hour shall be the Road Works Speed Limit for mechanically propelled vehicles on the roads as specified hereto.

a)      The M11/N11 northbound carriageway from a point 805 metres North of the centre point of the N11 Kilmacanogue Overbridge at Junction 8 to a point 520 metres South of the centre point of the M11 Kilcroney Lane Over Bridge at Junction 7.
