Climate Action Progress Reports

Climate Action Progress Reports mark the annual milestones in line with the adoption of the Climate Action Plan by the elected members in 2024 and provides a clear, evidence-based overview of progress made during each year of implementation.

Below, you will find the Climate Action Implementation Reports that have been completed to date.  These reports offer a transparent account of the Council’s efforts to advance the actions outlined in the Climate Action Plan, which is aligned to the Government’s National Climate Objective achieving a transition to a climate-resilient, biodiversity-rich, environmentally sustainable, and climate-neutral economy by 2050.

The reports provide a detailed progress update on all 112 actions contained within the Climate Action Plan, as well as each of the 23 actions specific to the Arklow Decarbonisation Zone (DZ).

This comprehensive reporting reflects strong cross-departmental collaboration and demonstrates the Council’s ongoing commitment to embedding climate action across all service areas.
