PRR 21/869 Part VIII - Bray Sustainable Transport Bridge

Notice under Section 179 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) and Part 8, Article 81 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended).

 

In accordance with provisions of PART XI of the Planning Acts 2000 (as amended) and Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations (as amended), notice is hereby given that Wicklow County Council proposes to undertake:

 

The construction of the Bray Sustainable Transport Bridge, link road and associated works in the townlands of Bray, Bray Commons and Ravenswell. The proposed bridge and link road will consist of a two-lane public transport road 3.25m wide and variable width pedestrian, cyclist and shared path facilities. A new pedestrian boardwalk is proposed along the southern bank wall to link the existing walkway to the bridge crossing.

 

In accordance with Article 81 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001(as amended), Wicklow County Council has concluded from a screening determination that there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environment arising from the proposed development and that an Environmental Impact Assessment is not required.

Where any person considers that the proposed development would be likely to have significant effects on the environment, he or she may, at any time before the expiration of 4 weeks beginning on the date of publication of this notice, apply in accordance with the provisions of Article 120 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended), to An Bord Pleanála for a screening determination as to whether the development would be likely to have such effects.

 

Plans and particulars of the proposed development may be inspected or purchased at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, at the offices of the Transport, Water & Emergency Services at Wicklow County Council, County Buildings, Wicklow and Bray Municipal District Office, Bray Civic Centre, Main Street, Bray, Co. Wicklow, by appointment, during opening hours Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays, for a period between Thursday 22nd July 2021 and Friday 20th August 2021. Plans and particulars are also available to view on www.wicklow.ie/Living/ConsultationHub. 

 

Submissions and observations with respect to the proposed developments dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated can be made at www.wicklow.ie/Living/ConsultationHub or in writing to the undersigned clearly marked “Bray Sustainable Bridge Project.  All submissions must be received on or before 12 noon Monday 6th September 2021.
