Educational Resources
Wicklow County Archives, supported by the Heritage Council, have developed resources, for teachers and students, on the Leaving Certificate History Research Study Report (RSR). The pack is designed to support both teachers and students as they undertake work on the RSR project.
Wicklow and the War of Independence

Wicklow Grand Jury - Collaboration with the Virtual Record Treasury of Ireland
Wicklow County Archives are a Participating Institution in the Virtual Record Treasury of Ireland project – where our digitised grand jury collection is shared in this highly valuable archive.
Coolattin Lives Website
Wicklow County Archives in collaboration with the Courthouse Arts Centre and Trinity College Dublin present the Coolattin Lives website, containing the tenant records for the Earl of Fitzwilliam’s estates in County Wicklow between 1841 and 1868.
Wicklow Borough Corporation Project
Wicklow County Archives has records for the Corporation dating from 1662. Wicklow Town became a borough by royal charter in 1603, granted by James I. The Borough Corporation consisted of a Portreeve (similar to a mayor) chosen annually from among the burgesses.
John Tate's Charity Archival Project
This Wicklow County Archives collection tells the story of a special charity formed as a condition of the last will and testament of John Tate of Glenmalure in 1787, serving the people of Rathdrum for over 200 years.

This publication details a pivotal time in the history of local government in Ireland. Complied and written by the Local Government Archivists and Records Managers in 2020 to mark the centenary of the elections.
