Wicklow County Council Arts Office invites applications for the Artists One-to-One Coaching Sessions. The application window opens on Tuesday 3rd March, and the deadline for applications is Tuesday 31st March at 4pm.
These personalised coaching sessions are designed to support personal, professional, and artistic growth by providing a safe and open environment for artists to explore their experiences, aspirations, and areas for development. Participants will collaborate with their coach to identify goals, create informed and sustainable plans, and gain the confidence to implement their strategies.
The initiative is open to artists at any career level, aiming to energise and enhance the creative resilience of those seeking positive change and growth in their artistic journeys.
Past participants have praised the impact of the coaching sessions. One participant noted that the sessions "helped to clear away the fog to see where I am and how I might proceed”, while another shared that the coaching "taught me how to set boundaries with my time, recognise my worth as an artist, and find a new voice within my work."
The panel of coaches includes seasoned professionals:
- Katherine Zeserson: strategic advisor, coach, facilitator, artist, and educator
- Susan Coughlan: independent facilitator, coach, and arts consultant
- Helen Meany: arts writer, consultant, and coach
- Paula Phelan: arts consultant and founder of Traverso Coaching and Training
Speaking on the sessions, Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council Cllr. Melanie Corrigan noted, “Artist One-to-One Coaching Sessions have a crucial role in building the confidence of artists and arts professionals in the county.”
Chief Executive of Wicklow County Council Emer O’Gorman stated, “This artist support service has had a positive impact on enabling artists to find direction, energy and creative resilience, thereby enhancing the overall quality of the artistic ecology of County Wicklow.”
The coaching is provided free of charge, funded by Wicklow County Council and the Arts Council.
