A protected structure is a building, feature or structure of special interest that is protected for architectural, social, archaeological, technical, historical, cultural, artistic and/or scientific reasons. The protection includes the interior and exterior of the structure, and the lands and any other buildings within its boundary, unless otherwise determined by the council. A full list of Protected Structures is kept in the Record of Protected Structures, which is included in the Wicklow County Development Plan 2016-2022.
