The purpose of the CMF is to support essential conservation works to be carried out on monuments which are deemed to be significant and in need of urgent support. The fund aims to build resilience in our monuments to enable them to withstand the effects of climate change; encourage access to monuments and improve their presentation.

  3. Stream 3 will offer grants of up to €30,000 for improving access infrastructure and interpretation (including virtual/) at archaeological monuments.

Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council, Cllr Caroline Winstanley welcomed the funding announcement stating, “The CMF will provide much needed investment in our monuments and valuable archaeological heritage, helping the owners and custodians to safeguard them into the future for the benefit of communities and the public”.
