Permission to film

There is no official permit system in place in Co. Wicklow except in the area of Bray Municipal District, which takes in Enniskerry and the area around the Sugarloaf.

To request permission to film outside of the Bray Municipal District area, please email outlining what you wish to do with as many details as possible to: vdelahunt@leo.wicklowcoco.ie

Your email will be circulated to the relevant personnel within Wicklow County Council for permission.

If you wish to film in the Bray Municipal District, please fill in the Event Permit Application Form and email it to braymd@wicklowcoco.ie together with the required insurance details.

Please note that permission to film is conditional on you submitting a copy of your insurance policy, which cover should exceed €6.5 million in respect of public liability and €13 million in respect of employers' liability. You will need to ask your broker to specifically indemnify Wicklow County Council. (Please note that this doesn’t mean that WCC is named as a principal, what is required is a line saying that WCC is indemnified, ie ‘We hereby indemnify Wicklow County Council against any claims that may arise as a result of this event’.)
