Greystones & District St. Patrick’s Day Parade Awards Presentation

The winners of the various categories in the 2026 Greystones & District St. Patrick’s Day Parade were honoured at a ceremony held in the Council Chamber in Greystones on Tuesday, 31st March 2026.

In her welcome address, the Cathaoirleach of Greystones Municipal District, Cllr. Lourda Scott, stated that the parade was a tremendous success and it was great to see so many people from the community come out to participate and enjoy the festivities. She paid tribute to the committee, the Greystones Town Team and the many volunteers who dedicated their time to organise the parade. Cllr. Scott also thanked the various groups and organisations that participated.

The Cathaoirleach gave special mention to the contingent from Greystones’ twin town of Holyhead in Wales, who travel over every year to take part in the Greystones parade. There was also a special mention for this year’s Grand Marshals, Grainne McLoughlin and Dermod Dwyer.

Cllr. Scott extended her gratitude to the sponsors of the parade, including Greystones Municipal District, Wicklow County Council and the numerous local businesses that consistently support various community events.
