The latest publication in the Heritage Guide series, titled ‘Baltinglass Abbey in the Valley of Salvation,’ has been released by Archaeology Ireland magazine.

This initiative aims to raise awareness about a variety of historical sites and monuments in Ireland and encourage visitors to explore them. Written by Chris Corlett and supported by the Heritage Office of Wicklow County Council, this informative six-page guide is included in the latest issue of Archaeology Ireland magazine and is available for free at Wicklow County Council branch libraries.

Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council, Cllr. Melanie Corrigan, stated, “This Heritage Guide for Baltinglass Abbey is a beautiful publication and a wonderful way to highlight one of County Wicklow’s most impressive heritage sites.”

Chief Executive of Wicklow County Council, Emer O’Gorman, expressed, “Wicklow County Council is delighted to support this publication as part of our ongoing efforts to highlight the natural, built and cultural heritage of County Wicklow.”

This project is part of the County Heritage Plan, which aims to share and celebrate the latest heritage research in County Wicklow in new and accessible formats.
