In accordance with provisions of PART XI of the Planning Acts 2000 (as amended) and Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations (as amended), notice is hereby given that Wicklow County Council proposes to:
Construct a new Playground and Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) at land at Blackditch, Newcastle, Co. Wicklow.
The proposed works involves:
- Site clearance and decommissioning of existing playground.
- Repositioning of playground to allow for the future expansion of the adjacent Multi-Use Games Area courts.
- Installation of children’s play equipment, perimeter fencing, safety surfacing.
- Installation of a third Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) court adjacent to the existing courts.
- Provision of associated footpaths, kerbing and landscaping.
- All associated and ancillary site works.
In accordance with article 120(1B)(b)(i), Planning and Development Regulations, 2001 (as amended), the Council has carried out a screening and has determined that there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environment arising from the proposed development -EIA is not required.

Newcastle Community Centre during the respective opening hours.
