PROVISION FOR TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC ROAD
Wicklow County Council hereby gives notice that it proposes the temporary closure of the following public road.

From the Roundabout at Jack Whites (Jct 19) to the Roundabout at the L-6177 (Coolmore)
Local Access only.

Period of closure
|
Tuesday 15th September 2026
From 6:00 a.m.to 8:00 p.m. (Weather permitting)
Provisional backup dates: 14th and 16th September 2026
ONE of these dates will be used if the 15th September is not favourable.

from Arklow -R750 (Coast Road),travel to Brittas Bay and turn left onto the R753 to link onto the R772 northbound and vice versa travelling south.

Reason for Closure
|
This road closure is necessary to facilitate filming.
|
Any person wishing to object to the proposed road closure must lodge their objection in writing to Transportation and Roads, Wicklow County Council, County Buildings, Wicklow Town, Co Wicklow or via email at roadtrans@wicklowcoco.ie not later than 12.00 noon on Tuesday the 11th August 2026.

Starting midway on Red Lane, turn left onto Kilbride Road, past Threecastles, taking a right at junction towards Ballyward Bridge. Turning right heading towards Oldcourt and Butterhill.
Crossing the Blessington bridge, turning right onto Kilbride Road, taking a left turn finishing at Red Lane at the Educate Together School
One lane on the Blessington Bridge will be open allowing traffic flow from Lacken.
Traffic management and signage will be in place.

This road closure is necessary in order to facilitate the 10k Road Race.
|
