Britannica Online Library is a fantastic resource for school projects, homework and more detailed research projects. It is timely, relevant, and trustworthy information. Divided into three sections for different levels of comprehension it not only includes articles but depending on your area of interest it may offer video, photographs, maps, further reading including ebooks on your chosen topic. 

 

eLearning: Online Courses

Universal Class is a FREE Online Continuing Education Service offering 400 educational and leisure courses for our library members. All library members can enrol in up to 5 courses for which you have 6 months to complete each. Each course has a real instructor who you may communicate with using email. WE’RE MAKING SOME CHANGES…

Public Libraries in Ireland are working together to create one joint library catalogue, using a shared computer system.

In this phase of the project, Wicklow Libraries, along with other library services around the country, are introducing this new computer system and making some changes which will help us provide a better service to library users.

Library Development Plan

New Library Development Plan for Wicklow

New libraries for Wicklow town, Rathdrum, Aughrim and Bray along with a replacement Mobile Library van are included in a new Library Development Plan adopted for County Wicklow.

Under the plan Wi-Fi will be extended to every library in the county while there is also a commitment to increase the annual book fund.
