High Tide Advisory
The Office of Public Works wish to advise that there will be a period of very high astronomical Spring Tides approaching Highest Astronomical Tide (HAT) in all coastal areas commencing tomorrow morning, Tuesday 26th until Wednesday 27th November 2019.
Whilst storm surge levels are currently low in all coastal areas, they are predicted to increase as follows, from tomorrow morning Tuesday 26th until Wednesday 27th November, especially in the coastal areas shown below:
0.40m at Wicklow
0.45m at Arklow
0.60m at Wexford Bay
0.50m at Waterford Estuary
0.50m at Cork Harbour
0.50m at Bantry Bay
0.45m at Dingle Bay
0.35m at Shannon Estuary
As these forecasts of storm surge may change, you are therefore advised to monitor closely surge and sea level forecasts throughout this notice period (from Tuesday 26th to Wednesday 27th November).
