7th September to 13th November

Resurfacing works are scheduled to take place on the N11between Junction 13 (Newcastle) and N11 Junction 16 (Rathnew/Wicklow Town), from Monday 5^th until Saturday 10^th October.

Traffic management will be in place for the duration of the works, 21:00 – 06:00.

Roads to be closed	Phase 1: M11 Southbound Junction 13 to M11 Junction 16 Phase 2: M11 Southbound Junction 16 to M11 Junction 18
Period of closure	Monday 7th September to Friday 13th November 2026. From 21:00 to 06:00
Alternative Routes	Phase 1: M11 Southbound Junction 13 to M11 Junction 16 Exit the M11 southbound at Junction 13, at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit for L5050 Killadreenan. Continue to follow L5050 for 1.8km. At the junction, turn right on to R761 southbound. Continue to follow R761 for 9km. At the roundabout, turn tight to stay on R761, then turn right onto R772. Continue to follow R772 for 600 meters, at the roundabout, take the 1st exit to rejoin the M11 southbound at Junction 16. Phase 2: M11 Southbound Junction 16 to M11 Junction 18 Exit the M11 southbound at Junction 16, at the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto R772. Continue to follow R772 for 900 meters. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit to stay on the R772. Continue to follow R772 for 1.6km. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit to stay on R772. Continue to follow R772 for 300 meters. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit to rejoin the M11 southbound at Junction 18. Road closures will be in place Monday to Friday nights, inclusive. Intermediate junctions will be closed as required to facilitate the works. Local access will be maintained where necessary.
Reason for Closure	This road closure is necessary in order to facilitate Resurfacing works.

Baltinglass MD

5th to 9th October 2026

Wicklow County Council wishes to advise motorists that Road Surfacing works will take place on the L3214, Coolafancy Road, Coolafancy, Carnew between the Community Field and Coolafancy National School between Monday 5th October to Friday 9th October 2026 from 9:00am to 7:00 pm.

Works will take 5 days to complete depending on weather conditions.

The road will be closed, and Traffic Management will be in place throughout the duration of the works.

Local Access will be provided.

Please drive with caution.

5th to 6th October 2026

Wicklow County Council wishes to advise the public that road diversions will be in place on L4372 Knockieran Bridge, starting on Monday the 5th of October 2026 for a period of two days to facilitate surfacing works.

These works will require traffic management and as a consequence of limited road widths, a traffic diversion will need to be in place during working hours.

Wicklow Council apologises for any inconvenience that may be caused.

1st October to 30th October 2026

Wicklow County Council hereby gives notice of the temporary closure of the following public road.

Roads to be closed	L4301 Woodenbridge, Stratford, Co Wicklow From High Street junction to the exit onto the N81
Period of closure	From Thursday 1st October 2026 to Friday 30th October 2026   Local Access only
Alternative Routes	Traffic approaching the closure on L8360 will be diverted via the N81, continuing along the N81 before turning onto Winetavern Road and following the signed diversion route to rejoin the L8360 beyond the closure point.   Traffic travelling in the opposite direction will follow the same diversion route in reverse via Winetavern Road and the N81.
Reason for Closure	This road closure is necessary to facilitate Uisce Eireann works

 

Bray MD

5th October 2026 (7 weeks) 

Wicklow County Council wishes to advise that Enniskerry Town Renewal Works are due to commence this Monday 05th October 2026 and will be in place for approximately seven weeks.

A temporary traffic management system will be in place for the expected 7-week work period.

No full road closures or vehicular diversions are expected; however, the works will involve a stop/go being in place for a limited duration during the works.

The works will involve minor pedestrian diversions which will be subject to change over the course of the works, in line with operational requirements.

5th to 7th October 2026

Wicklow County Council wishes to advise of the following upcoming road surfacing works in Bray Municipal District.

• Kilcroney Lane: Works are scheduled to commence on Monday, 5 October 2026 and continue until Wednesday, 7 October 2026. The works will be carried out between 9:30 a.m. and 16:30 p.m. each day and will be undertaken under a road closure, with appropriate traffic management arrangements in place.

Safe pedestrian access and access for residents will be maintained as required during the works.

Please note that the programme may be subject to change depending on weather conditions and operational requirements.

Greystones MD

2nd to 6th October 2026

Wicklow County Council hereby gives notice of roadworks on the following public road in order to carry out road resurfacing works.

L5046 – Sea Road Lane, Kilcoole from 8am-6pm commencing Friday 2nd October - Tuesday 6th October 2026.

Local access for residents will be accommodated.

Wicklow MD

5th to 14th of October 2026

Wicklow County Council wishes to advise that works will take place in the Roundwood Village section of the R764 & R755 .

Works will be subject to traffic management from Monday 5th of October to Wednesday 14^th of October from 7:00 am. to 7:00 pm. Nightworks may be included as part of these works.

To facilitate these works traffic management will be in place with a Stop/Go system to safely manage traffic during the works.

4^th August to  9^th October 2026

Wicklow County Council hereby gives notice of the temporary closure of the following public road.

Roads to be closed	L-1059 & L-1060 Roundwood Both roads will not be closed concurrently.
Period of closure	From Tuesday 4th August to Friday 9th October 2026
Alternative Routes	L-1059 Closure – Divert along the L-1059, L-5057 & L-5056 L-1060 Closure – Divert along the L-1059 & R755Traffic management will be in place
Reason for Closure	This road closure is necessary to facilitate Installation of a new watermain by Uisce Éireann.
