Wicklow County Council proposes to VARY the Wicklow County Development Plan 2022-2028 (as varied) in respect of the following:

Proposed Variation No. 6 - To revise the Wicklow Core Strategy and associated housing targets, and a number of related housing objectives set out in the Wicklow County Development Plan 2022-2028 Written Statement. 

Submissions were invited on the proposed Variation from 05 December 2025 to 16 January 2026. 119 submissions were recieved.

Next Stage

The Chief Executive's (CE) Report on submissions recieved to the Proposed Variation has been prepared. The CE report summarises each submission and a CE's response given in the report. This report was issued to the Elected Members for their consideration in January 2026 and will be brought to a Council meeting in March 2026.
